Australian boxing sensation Tim Tszyu has locked in his next fight, which will take place on December 16 at Sydney’s Bankwest Stadium.

Tszyu (16-0) will take on New Zealander Bowyn Morgan (21-1) in his first outing since crushing former welterweight world champion Jeff Horn in Townsville.

Sharing co-main event status will be the highly anticipated fight between former NRL star Paul Gallen and UFC great Mark Hunt. For Gallen, it will be his first bout since his draw against Barry Hall last year.

“It’s incredible to be in this position to put on one of the biggest live sporting events in Australia after the year we’ve all had,” said CEO of No Limit Boxing George Rose. “As for the Sydney Super Fight itself, what’s not to love!?

“I expect it to not only be the biggest crowd for a fight in Australia this year, but also the biggest audience – full stop. You’ve got the undisputed star of Australian boxing in Tim taking on the best from New Zealand in Morgan.

“Then there’s the two legends, two absolute sporting icons in Gal and Mark. Everyone knows there’s no love lost between these two.”

Tszyu will be looking to use this fight as a springboard to a world title shot in 2021.

Morgan is rated New Zealand’s No. 2 pound-for-pound fighter behind Joseph Parker and has not lost in four years.
