Princes Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank have welcomed their first child – a son – Buckingham Palace has announced.
The baby, weighing 8lbs 1oz, was born at 8.55am on Tuesday at The Portland Hospital in central London, the palace said.
The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Duke of York, Sarah, Duchess of York, and Mr and Mrs George Brooksbank have been informed and are “delighted”.
The royal baby is the Queen’s ninth great-grandchild.
Princess Eugenie announced the birth on her Instagram account, where she posted a picture of what appeared to be her and her husband holding the baby’s little hand.
She captioned it with blue hearts and exclamation marks.
